Welcome to the Simi Dabah Sculpture Foundation

Forged in Steel. Rooted in Community. Preserving a Legacy.

For over half a century, Simi Dabah transformed salvaged scrap metal into over 2,000 sculptures—each one a powerful expression of creativity, vision, and generosity. From a 16-foot trailer hitched to a 1968 Cadillac, he brought these works to his Joshua Tree property at 4th and Sunfair, where over 350 pieces now reside across 8.5 acres of desert land.

The Simi Dabah Sculpture Foundation was established in 2015 by Simi and Julie Dabah to preserve this legacy. Through sculpture donations and sales, the Foundation not only maintains the sculpture garden but provides direct funding to local nonprofits across the Morongo Basin and Coachella Valley. To date, the Foundation has donated over $130,000 and gifted more than 70 sculptures valued at $138,000 to colleges, parks, municipalities and public institutions.

Our Mission

The Simi Dabah Sculpture Foundation’s primary mission is to donate sculptures to public and nonprofit organizations for permanent installation, thereby enhancing the community and providing access to public art, while also funding other nonprofits through sculpture sales. The foundation seeks to make art radically accessible while investing in the well-being of the community and preserving Simi Dabah’s artistic legacy.

Our catalog features available works across a range of scales — from small pedestal pieces to monumental installations over 30 feet tall.

Because the Foundation donates and installs new sculptures throughout the year, this catalog is updated quarterly and may not reflect the most recent additions or placements.

Support the Legacy

Whether you’re a public institution seeking a sculpture to be displayed on your property, a nonprofit in need of support, or a donor looking to give back—your involvement ensures Simi’s work lives on supporting the organizations that need it most.

The Story Behind the Steel

In the 1960s and ’70s, Simi Dabah began creating and welding sculptures in his backyard in Los Angeles, turning scrap metal into art using an overhead crane. He called it his “hobby,” but it became a lifelong purpose—one that shaped the visual landscape of Southern California and beyond.

Proudly maintaining a legacy of metalwork, mentorship, and local non-profit support.
