Coinciding with the Highway 62 Art Tours, which the Simi Dabah Sculpture Foundation has participated in the past, this October brought new sales of 17 sculptures, which sold for $10,000! 

Continuing the legacy of Simi Dabah, this unique opportunity capitalized on the bubbling tourist activity taking place in the Morongo Basin and surrounding Joshua Tree Gateway communities during the Highway 62 Art Tours, an annual event showcasing local artists, studios, and events in Joshua Tree.

Connecting both tourists and locals alike for the opportunity to discover art, meet artists, and enjoy cultural experiences.

The sculptures sold during the period ranged in price from $120 – $4500. 

August 20, 2012:: The HWY 62 ART TOURS celebrates its’ 11th anniversary during the weekends of October 20-21 and October 27-28, 2012. Simi Dabah will open his 8 acre studio for tours on both weekends from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The studio is located at 5255 Sunfair Road, Joshua Tree, CA. Volunteer docents from the non-profit “Reach Out Morongo Basin” will host the first weekend, and volunteer docents from the non-profit “Joshua Tree and Southern Railroad Museum” will host the second weekend. Tour visitors are invited to purchase sculptures and 100% of the proceeds from sales will support the non-profit hosting the event.
